Pembroke Managing Agency was acquired by Ironshore in 2008 and manages Syndicates 4000 and 2014 at Lloyd’s of London, whose rating is A (Excellent) by A.M. Best and AA- (Very Strong) from Fitch and A+ (Strong) from Standard & Poor’s.

Ironshore Europe Ltd (IEL) was incorporated in 2010 to complement our Lloyd’s operations and also to serve non-Lloyds brokers. IEL operates from its Head Office in Dublin, Ireland and its London Branch.

This flexible underwriting capacity allows us to access business from all over the world where we are able to write most classes of business. In addition to Lloyd’s global licencing capabilities, IEL is authorised to write business throughout the EU/EEA under EU Freedom of Services and is also licensed on the US NAIC IID Listing to write Surplus Lines business emanating from the USA.

The International Platform currently writes 17 lines of specialty business and while each market holds distinct opportunities and challenges, our complementary structure and integrated approach allows Ironshore to deliver maximum benefit to our brokers and clients.
